Hooded Nudibranch Backlit by the Sun

The frigid but clear northern Pacific waters of January reveal this hooded nudibranch clinging to eelgrass while it feeds. Spreading and contracting its hood and tentacles in a graceful dance this 4 inch long sea slug is backlit by the sun through its translucent body.
